Its ankle elastic and webbing seal the gaiter to the top of the boot, it has steel domes at the top and bottom and a full-length zip and also Velcro to ensure the very best closure. On top of that, it’s lined with a strong waterproof nylon canvas, and beefed up with solid nylon canvas on the lower quarter to ensure rugged resistance to rocks, water and thorns. These are high quality gaiters that are well above standard.

Further, you get stealth mixed with comfort thanks to silent micro fleece on the upper ¾ of each gaiter, and soft micro fleece that’s folded over the top of the gaiter to prevent calf and shin chaffing.

Attaching the gaiter
Each gaiter is secured under the boot by a braided stainless steel wire crimped with copper high pressure copper crimps attached to stainless D rings secured to the gaiter by double stitched heavy nylon webbing. The length of the under-boot wires is adjustable over a 110mm range by Velcro strip. The front of the gaiter is attached to boot laces with a 10mm wide steel hook secured by two rivets.
