Permit to Acquire (PTA) – Required for Firearm Purchases
In order to collect a firearm from us, you must present a Permit to Acquire (PTA).
How to Apply for a PTA:
- Lodge the permit either through us or directly with Service Tasmania. The cost to lodge a PTA is $24.50.
- You can complete the form online at home by clicking here, then print it out and bring it into our store to lodge. Alternatively, you can visit us in-store and fill out a form at either the gun counter or the front counter.
Once your PTA is lodged, it will be sent to Firearms Services for processing. Your permit will then be mailed to your home address.
